ARCHES NATIONAL PARK

EVERYTHING WE'D TELL OUR FRIENDS TO DO THERE

Arches was one of those places that kept getting better the farther we went. We spent our time there on President's Day weekend exploring the park, getting out on the trails and taking a 4x4 tour that got us well beyond the main roads. Below is everything we’d tell friends planning their own trip, the tour we took, the stops we wouldn’t miss and a few things we’d want to know before going.

THE TOUR WE TOOK

We did this 4x4 backcountry tour on our first day at Arches, and it ended up being one of the best tours we’ve taken anywhere. We were picked up right in front of our hotel in Moab and dropped back off there five hours later. The tour took us off the main roads and into parts of Arches we never would have seen on our own, including dinosaur tracks, Tower Arch and some incredible backcountry scenery. It was worth every penny. The next day, we returned to Arches on our own to explore more of the park and hike to Delicate Arch. For us, doing both was the perfect way to experience the park.
